     Sweden is located in northern Europe surrounded by the countries of Finland to the northeast and Norway to the west with the Baltic Sea to its immediate east. Sweden has a land mass of 450,295 sq. km making it roughly the size of California (or 5.57% the size of the US) and boasts 3,218 km of coastline.  Geographically it has mountains in the west and rolling hills throughout the rest of the country.
